Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program

Youth Residential Program

The Youth Homeless Demonstration Program (YHDP) provides safe and supportive housing for youth experiencing homelessness and serious behavioral health challenges. The program offers a stable place where individuals can focus on recovery, build important life skills, and work toward long-term independence.

YHDP combines short-term residential support with services based on each individual’s needs. Youth receive guidance, encouragement, and access to resources that help them return to the community with greater stability.

Program Services Include:

  • Safe and supportive housing that promotes stability and recovery
  • Individual support and crisis services
  • Access to behavioral health treatment and ongoing care
  • Connections to education, employment, housing, and other community resources
  • Transportation to services and opportunities
  • Coaching and support with independent living skills

A key goal of YHDP is to help youth build the skills and confidence needed to live more independently. This includes identifying service needs, connecting individuals to resources, and providing support as they build stability in housing, relationships, and daily life.

The program also provides transition planning and aftercare. Each individual leaves with a clear plan and continued connections to behavioral health and housing support.

Success may include stable housing, greater independence, and the confidence to move forward. YHDP helps youth build the tools and support systems needed to thrive in their communities.
